After we have your amino acid blood test results in our hands, we put in a great deal of time and effort so that we can turn those numbers into a prescription for your health. We analyze a number of factors:
1. Which amino acids are deficient? 2. Which amino acids are in the low normal range? 3. Which amino acids are elevated? 4. Which amino acids are in the high normal range? That's our starting point in analyzing the raw data. 5. What is the ratio of one amino acid to another?
This is where interpretation gets complex. With the neurotransmitter precursors (tyrosine, phenylalanine, and tryptophan) we need to know the ratio of these amino acids to each other. We also need to analyze the ratio of the neurotransmitter precursors to the branch-chain amino acids, namely leucine, iso-leucine, and valine.
6. What are some examples of further testing that is indicated
Low lysine levels are cause to check your blood for viruses. 7. Consultation and Research
Because of the complexity of the human body, each person must be analyzed on a completely individual basis. While certain symptomatology tends to fall into broad categories, correct analysis and treatment is never the result of production-line thinking. Therefore, at The Gersten Institute each person is treated as a complete individual. Other doctors may have overlooked a number of important factors that affect your health, such as: stress, profession, upbringing, cultural influences, pre-existing conditions, genetic predispositions, belief systems, and a host of other influences that must be addressed in order to get the big picture. |
